PSP Omaha 2007: NXe Rules by The River |
August 7, 2007 |
The 2007 PSP River City Open could have easily been dubbed the NXe Open, as both the NXL and Open Class X-Ball finals featured two NXe teams battling each other for the championship. Boston Red Legion was back with a vengeance after failing to qualify for the top four in at PSP Chicago in June. Red Legion collided with San Diego Dynasty in the finals. Dynasty won an X-Ball event in over year despite, finishing 2nd or 3rd dozens of times. Alex Fraige missed the event with a separated shoulder, but that didn’t stop the boys in blue. Ultimately, Red Legion got the best of Dynasty to take the title. However, the 2nd place finish for Dynasty puts them in first place for overall PSP Series Crown. The Open class saw two more members of the NXe family slugging it out for supremacy. SD Aftermath, the dominant force in open class all year and a team destined to turn pro, couldn’t hold off the onslaught of Avalanche. After struggling at NPPL Boston, Avalanche X looked revitalized and unstoppable, defeating Aftermath 9-2 to win the championship. Congrats to all the NXe teams to made the finals, and especially Red Legion and Avalanche X on their big victories. |

NPPL Boston 2007: Back To The Pro Podium: Divisional Dominance |
July 15, 2007 |
NXe is back in the pro winner’s circle after a one-tournament hiatus, led by outstanding play from the rock solid boys in blue, San Diego Dynasty. This is back-to-back NPPL gold for Ryan Greenspan and crew. The defending NPPL champs have also won 3 of the last 4 events, dating back to 2006. Dynasty was not alone in the winner’s circle, as our favorite Swedish import, Stockholm Joy Division, took 3rd by convincingly smashing the Philly Americans. NXe’s lower division teams also had stellar performances. Congratulations go out to San Diego Aftermath, with another great effort, finishing 2nd in the semi-pro division. Aftermath has played outstanding this season on both the PSP and NPPL circuits, and we can’t wait to see how they play in the rest of 2007, as they seem destined to take a pro spot in 2008. Division 1 also saw an NXe team on the podium, as the Rock – It – Kids who have been an NXe team since the 2005 season, placed first. NXe’s domination continued in Division 2, with SCP Epic taking first place. In Division 3, NXe’s home town boys, FYT, brought home the title in two games. Everyone at NXe would like to congratulate these teams on their stellar performances.

PSP Chicago 2007: The Aftermath |
| June 29, 2007 | |
There’s something to be said for consistency. Stop #3 on the PSP circuit this past weekend in Chicago ended a lot like stop PSP event #2 did back in May; with San Diego Aftermath winning the Open X-Ball division. Aftermath-led by Todd Martinez, defeated [fellow NXe’rs] St. Louis Avalanche in the quarters finals. After falling behind to Avalanche 2-0, Aftermath turned up the heat and never looked back. Aftermath defeated Impact 10-5 in the finals. Congrats also go out to Avalanche, who finished 3rd absolutely destroying Static 11-0. In the NXL. It was all about heart. Detroit Strange turned in a monumental performance, moving onto Sunday for the first time in several events, only to loose a heartbreaking, controversial match to X-Factor, in overtime. Strange’s performance is all the more amazing as they only traveled nine players, and usually only rotated through 7. Look for big things to start coming out of the Strange camp for the rest of 2007 and beyond. NXe also would like to congratulate all of sponsored players who competed in the NXL All-Star game on Sunday. You can watch highlights of all the NXe-sponsored players who competed in the all-star game in NXe Webisode #13.

NPPL Tampa 2007: Back In Blue |
May 15, 2007 |
Another event, another NXe team in the winner’s circle. The boys in blue-San Diego Dynasty-held off the young and talented Edmonton Impact to win the NPPL Tampa crown. Anybody questioning if the 4-time NPPL champs still have it need only check the stats. This is Dynasty’s 2nd win in the last three NPPL events-and finished a solid 3rd in HB. NXe was also happy to see Dave “The Beast” Bains in Dynasty pinstripes. Bains helps hold down the backline for Boston Red Legion in the NXL. So for big Dave that’s two wins in two weeks, just like NXe. Congrats also go out to St. Louis Avalanche. After a strong performance at the PSP MAO You catch highlights of Avalanche, led by Tyler “The Machine” Michaud, Brandon Mayo, and Danny Tiljak, along with Dynasty, in NXe Webisode #12 available for free download in the “members only” section. |

PSP MAO 2007: Russians Rule In Rock Hill |
| May 10, 2007 | |
After a controversial loss at the first PSP event in LA, Boston Red Legion [i.e. the Russian Legion] was hungry and unstoppable this past weekend at the Mid-Atlantic Open in Rockhill, South Carolina May 4-6. The Red Legion faced X-Factor in the finals, a young team that has surprised people with their strong play this year. But they proved no match for the boys from Moscow in the finals, and even conceded the final point. The NXL wasn’t the only division seeing lots NXe packs on the field in the finals. The Open class featured an all-NXe final, as San Diego Aftermath bested St. Louis Avalanche (Avalanche X) in the finals. NXe was pleased to see longtime NXe-sponsored pro Frank “the Tank” Connell, most recently of Dynasty, filling the roll of the recently departed Brock Jolliff for Avalanche. Congratulations to Red Legion, Aftermath, and Avalanche. Look for big things on the field and in the tradeshow booth this coming week at NPPL Tampa from the NXe family.

NPPL Huntington Beach 2007: Blast At the Beach |
| March 25, 2007 | |
NXe was pleased to have one of our busiest tradeshows during four days of sun and sand this past weekend in California at the first stop of the 2007 NPPL Super 7 Series. The “blast” at beach is meant literally as well, as Bob Long’s Oakland Blast-sporting NXe Elevation Series packs- capped a weekend of outstanding play by defeating Edmonton Impact in the finals to win their first NPPL event. Zach Long, the Shows boys, and Tyler Harmon looked awfully tough en route to their big win. Look for Blast’s road to victory in Huntington Beach to be documented in webisode 11, in the members only section! The winner’s circle was pretty crowded with NXe family members-three of the four teams in the HB Pro finals were NXe sponsored. San Diego Dynasty and Stockholm Joy Division continued to develop one of the sport’s hottest rivalries, as Dynasty came out on top in a tightly fought best-of-three series to finish 3rd. Congratulations to Oakland blast, and all of NXe’s sponsored teams. |

| NXe Signs Jacksonville Raiders | |
January 12, 2007 |
NXe announced today that it has reached a two-year sponsorship agreement with the Jacksonville Raiders.John Bosch, President of NXe commented, “This deal makes me very happy. We’ve got our boys back! The history between the players, as well as Doc Draper and NXe goes back to our beginning. As much as we missed them last year, it is quite apparent they missed us just as much, if not more.” “Both Doc and I have made a commitment to each other,” Bosch said. “Although on paper this is a two year deal, I would like to make it very clear that as long as there is a Doc Draper-owned Jacksonville Raider team, they will be a NXe team.” Dave Pastore, Raider captain commented, “The whole team is really excited about being back with NXe. You don’t really know how much better their products are until you stop using them. We are glad to be home.” NXe is a manufacturer of high quality harnesses, luggage, and casual apparel. The Jacksonville Raiders will compete in the NXL, as well as the Pro Division of the NPPL Super 7 Series. The Raiders earned a spot in the NPPL after winning the Semi-Pro championship in 2006. |
